WebJul 23, 2009 · The ‘bus mode’ menu (M) configures the Bus Pirate for a specific protocol, like 1-Wire, I2C, SPI, etc. The default start-up mode is HiZ, all pins are inputs and all power supplies are off. Most modes have additional options, like open drain outputs or speed settings. Each bus mode is documented in the Bus Pirate manual. Turns out, we can change the baudrate on the Raspberry Pi with a simple parameter to the i2c_bcm2708 module shown below to something like 32KHz. Just unload the module and re-insert it.
