WebWe intend this document to provoke a debate about the key features of high quality EHC plans. We invite other organisations to identify good EHC plans that exemplify the best for children with a range of different needs and for whom a wide range of outcomes are sought. In turn, we hope that this will build a body of evidence about what works. WebThe EHCP identifies a child or young person’s needs and sets out the additional support to meet those needs. An EHCP is often suggested to parents whose children are having any difficulties at school, but for some families, it’s not what they want to hear. They fear it is going to label their child, or prejudice schools against taking them.
