I absolutely love the structure of the book, the way linear progression seems to have become a casualty of the war in the same way as other kinds of sense. And the black, black absurdity. WebSo many sad moments and horrific inescapable crises, so many whimsical and poignantly humorous ironies. Catch 22 is all about contradiction, and impossible duality. In that sense, the tragedy and humour keep the theme apparent even in the narrative.
